The Costa Calida ( Warm Coast ) is already the number one holiday destination in Spain for Spanish tourists, particularly the area around the Mar Menor and La Manga Strip. This area is sometimes known as the “Costa Madrid” because many Spanish visit the Costa Calida here for the summer months.
Recently the Costa Calida has been opened for foreign tourists with the advent of a new motorway network and low cost flights into the airports of Murcia (San Javier) and Alicante.
